L’information
Une large diffusion de flyers et affichettes déposés dans les centres sociaux, bibliothèques, mairie, etc… a permis aux habitants du quartier Oran-Cartigny de connaître l’existence du projet « Chemins de Ville » mené par La Pluie d’Oiseaux.
À La Maison du Projet, le 10 octobre 2020, la présentation animée par Colombe Capon a permis aux habitants présents de cerner plus précisément le projet et de rencontrer les deux premières intervenantes : Marina Rosselle, artiste plasticienne, pour les ateliers arts plastiques, et Anne Letoré, écrivain, pour les ateliers d’écriture et les interviews.
Les habitants présents à la Maison du Projet : jeunes femmes essentiellement et un représentant de l’association Les Amis de la Lainière et du Textile

Météo : magnifique soleil.
Sous cette belle lumière du Nord, les premiers ateliers ont pu se dérouler en toute convivialité avec 4 familles : une maman venue avec ses 3 enfants, une autre avec ses 4 enfants et la grand-mère, une maman et sa fille pré-ado, et une femme seule. Les âges présents allaient de 6 ans à 70 ans !
Toute la journée du vendredi grand-maman, mamans, enfants ont pu cheminer au travers des mots et des pinceaux, des papiers et des couleurs, découvrir des techniques peu ou pas pratiquées habituellement par eux, créer leur propres chemins de ville, nous les faire partager, et surtout ils ont pu entrer de plain-pied (surtout avec leurs mains créatives et leur tête imaginative) dans le projet Chemins de Ville.

Météo : pluie le matin, mitigé l’après-midi.
Participants aux ateliers, animateurs, preneur de son et photographe attachés au projet ont sillonné les rues du quartier Oran-Cartigny avec pour guides les participants eux-mêmes. Une balade instructive, émaillée d’anecdotes et de souvenirs, au cœur de ce quartier en pleine mutation, qui a vécu l’essor de l’industrie textile, a subi son déclin, et revit aujourd’hui d’une autre façon avec une autre énergie.
Anecdote : on s’arrêtait devant une vaste plaine et on faisait imaginer aux enfants les usines qui étaient encore en place à leur naissance mais aujourd’hui rasées. On leur demandait « Tu en ferais quoi de cet espace ? »
Le 2e confinement n’arrête pas les bonnes volontés

Un atelier d’écriture a pu se dérouler en visio avec… une seule participante.
1 h 30 à écrire, rire, partager, papoter… comme si on était en visu.

Lieux : chacune chez soi.
Météo : d’automne.
Le lendemain, une interview s’est également déroulée en visio. Enregistrée en audio uniquement, l’interviewée a parlé de son ancien métier de Piqûrière dans une usine textile qui fabriquait du haut de gamme.
Anecdote : alors qu’une des ouvrières lisait un article sur Johnny Hallyday dans une revue, elle a reconnu sur la photo prise chez le chanteur, un des tissus issus de leur atelier et fabriqué par elles… Quand elle a montré la photo à ses collègues quelle ne fut pas leur fierté !
Et maintenant ?
Les confinements et les contraintes sanitaires freinent la vitesse de croisière que nous nous étions fixée. Ateliers et interviews restent à quai pour l’instant. Mais fi des tempêtes !
2021 : Nous cogitons aux solutions possibles pour hisser la voile et mener à bien ce projet, pour cheminer au travers de cette histoire roubaisienne riche de dizaines d’années, de milliers d’humains venus de partout pour construire et vivre le quartier Oran-Cartigny.
